Archery, the art or skill of shooting arrows with a bow, stems from the oldest civilizations and has historically been used for hunting and in war-fare. In modern times, however, its main use is in sport and as a recreational activity. Archery is loved by young and old, sporty or not, and is ideal as a teambuilding activity.

With the development of firearms, the use of bow and arrows in warfare became obsolete. But the skill of archery survived, mainly because of the pleasure and satisfaction derived from hitting the target with your arrow! Include archery in your next team build. Or as a fun activity and to get out a bit during your next conference. Your employees will love you for it!

From the 1920s, professional engineers took an interest in archery, previously the exclusive field of traditional craftsmen. They led the commercial development of new forms of bow including the modern recurve and compound bows. These modern forms are now dominant in modern Western archery; traditional bows are in a minority.

Archery is definitely one of the best teambuilding activities around.
